INSTALLING Windows Server 2008/Windows Server 2003
For installing an operating system on NEC Express5800/ft series, refer to the below description.
IMPORTANT:
The NEC Express5800/ft series is a precision instrument. You should ask maintenance
personnel to install it.
Before performing the NEC EXPRESS5800/ft series setup, contact your sales agent about the
latest release of ft Server Control Software.
About OS Installation
Read the notes here carefully before installing the operating system.
Operating System Supported by the NEC Express5800/ft series
The operating system that NEC Express5800/ft series supports is as follows:

Microsoft® Windows Server® 2008 Enterprise (x64), hereafter called "Windows Server
2008."

Microsoft® Windows Server® 2003 R2 32-bit Enterprise Edition, hereafter called
"Windows Server 2003."
For more information on how to install Windows Server 2003, refer to "Express Setup."
NEC Express5800/ft series does not support any operating systems other than the above (e.g.,
Windows Server 2008 (x86), Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard x64 Edition, Windows Server
2003 Standard/Enterprise Edition, Windows 2000 or Windows NT 4.0).
