Label for child restraint systems in accord‐
ance with UN‑R129
ISOFIX or i-Size child restraint systems of the fol‐
lowing "Universal" category can be used in
accordance with the tables on suitability of seats
for the attachment of child restraint systems on
seats labelled U, UF, IUF or i-U.
Semi-universal child restraint systems are indi‐
cated by the text "semi-universal" on the
approval label. They can only be used if the vehi‐
cle and the seat are listed in the child restraint
system manufacturer's vehicle model list.
Notes on the suitability of seats for attach‐
ing belt-secured child restraint systems
Observe the following information:
When using a baby car seat of the cate‐
R
gory 0/0+ and a rearward-facing child
restraint system on a rear seat: adjust the
driver's and front passenger seat such that
the seat does not touch the child restraint
system.
When using a forward-facing child
R
restraint system of category I: remove the
head restraint from the respective seat, if
possible (
page 91). In addition, the seat
backrest of the child restraint system must,
as far as possible, lie flat against the back‐
rest of the vehicle seat.
When you remove the child restraint system,
R
fit the head restraint immediately

page 91) and adjust all the head
restraints again correctly.
For certain child restraint systems in weight
R
group II or III, there may be restrictions in the
maximum size setting, e.g. due to possible
contact with the roof.
Make sure that the child's feet do not touch
R
the front seat. If necessary, move the front
seat forward slightly.
The child restraint system must not touch the
R
roof or be put under strain by the head
restraints. Adjust the head restraints accord‐
ingly.
Observe the manufacturer's installation
R
instructions for the child restraint system.
