Starting/stopping the engine with the cab tilted

Important safety information
Note
There are moving components inside the engine
compartment.
Certain components can also run on or immediately
restart when the ignition is switched off, e.g. cooler
fan.
There is a risk of injury!
If you have to perform any work in the engine
compartment,
Switch the ignition off.
Never reach into danger zone of moving component
parts, e.g. fan rotation area.
Keep your clothing away from the moving parts.

Starting the engine and increasing the engine speed
External engine start/stop button (1)
Press external engine start/stop button (1) until
engine starts.
The engine runs at idle speed.
or
Keep external engine start/stop button (1) pressed
until engine starts and the desired engine speed is
reached.

Turn off engine
Press external engine start/stop button (1).

Note
Certain components on the engine may be very hot.
There is a risk of injury when working on the engine!
Leave the engine to cool down if possible.
Before starting and stopping the engine
Apply parking brake.
Switch electronic ignition lock to drive position.
Shift transmission to neutral.
Tilt cab forward, see Chapter "Mechanical-hydraulic
cab tilt system" or "Electrohydraulic cab tilt system".
The engine speed starts to increase after about 3
seconds. Once the external engine start/stop button
(1) is released, the engine runs at the currently set
speed.
The engine speed can be increased up to the
maximum governed rpm.
Tilt back cab into drive position, see Chapter
"Mechanical-hydraulic cab tilt system" or
"Electrohydraulic cab tilt system".
