Do NOT obstruct air inlet or outlet grilles.
Do NOT modify grilles.
• Modifying or covering grilles could cause
temperature rise and fire hazard.
Finishing materials must not interfere with:
• Air flow through grilles or louvers.
• Operation of louvers or doors.
• Access for service.

Upper front can be covered
with non-combustible material
or removed and replaced with
non-combustible material.
Sealant Material
• Metal fireplace front may be covered with non-
combustible material only.
• Do NOT overlap combustible materials onto fireplace
front.
• Install combustible materials up to specified clearances
on top front and side edges.
• Seal joints between the finished wall and fireplace top
and sides using only a 150° C minimum sealant.
