Using Your Symphony™ Pet
IMPORTANT: Before using your hard floor
cleaner to steam and sanitize, be sure to read the
following information and instructions:
Only use on non-porous, hard surfaces.
Do not use on painted, plastic or vinyl covered
surfaces, wax polished furniture or floors,
synthetic materials and fabrics, velvet, leather or
other delicate, heat or steam-sensitive surfaces,
materials or fabrics.
If you are unsure of the surface you want to clean
and sanitize, test on an inconspicuous area first. If
the hard surface is affected, do not use the hard
surface cleaner.
1. Fill the steam mop with water, plug it in and
wait 30 seconds for it to heat up.
HI for durable floors or sticky messes.
LO for delicate floors or every day cleaning.
NOTE: It is recommended to use the low level
steam setting when using the disposable mop
pads (select models).
2. Press steam trigger on the underside of the
handle to activate steam
3. Push the
VAC switch down to turn on the
cyclonic vacuum.
4. Begin cleaning by slowly moving the steam
mop over the floor surface while pressing the
steam trigger. Moisture on the floor is normal
when using in steam mode.
5. When the hard floor cleaner stops emitting
steam, turn the machine OFF (both steam mop
and vacuum functions) and unplug. Open the
Easy Fill Opening of the water tank and use the
water cup to add more water. For best results,
water should be room temperature. Then, close
the Easy Fill Opening, turn the machine ON and
continue cleaning.
6. To sanitize and eliminate germs and bacteria
on an area of your hard floor, use the washable
mop pad and make at least three slow and even
back and forth passes over the same area while
continuously pressing the steam trigger. For
best results, remove the washable mop pad and
machine wash after use.

WARNING
» Do not plug in your hard fl oor
cleaner until you are familiar with
all instructions and operating
procedures.
» Exercise extreme care when using
your Symphony Pet on hardwood
fl oors. Prolonged application of
steam in one area increases the risk
of damage to the surface treatment.
Test steam mop in an inconspicuous
area before mopping a large area.
The steam mop generates hot steam,
so move the machine continuously
when pressing the trigger. The
trigger does not need to be pressed
at all times. Regular foot traffi c and
direct sunlight will wear down fl oor
surface treatment, making it more
susceptible to steam damage. Check
with your hard wood fl oor treatment
and application specialist prior to
steam mop operation.
