4.8. Transit wheels (optional)

With the transit wheels you can reduce the width and length of your
22
wheelchair. Please note that you no longer have handrims.
You can only retrofit the transit wheels when the chair is unoccupied.

4.9. Wheelbase extension (optional)

The wheelbase extension improves the stability and therefore reduces
the risk of tipping over backwards.
Negotiating obstacles and tipping the wheelchair becomes more
difficult though.

4.10. Tipping aids

In order to make it easier for an attendant to negotiate obstacles such
as kerb edges, tipping aids can be used. Hold the wheelchair firmly
with both hands on the push handles. Press one foot onto one of the
tipping aids and at the same time push the hands down (Fig. 22).

Position the castor in the same hole position as the
drive axle. This is the only way to guarantee good
directional stability for the wheelchair.

4.11. Anti-tip wheels (optional)

The anti-tip wheels prevent the wheelchair from tipping over backwards.
There must be a gap between the rollers of the anti-tip wheels and the
ground of approx. 30-50 mm (Fig. 23).
Anti-tip wheels are particularly recommended for inexperienced
wheelchair users or amputees.
For safety reasons, always use the anti-tip wheels
as a pair!
For adjustment, contact your dealer

4.12. Headrest (optional)

The headrest is mounted on the push handles.
After undoing the clamp lever or the star screw you can adjust the
headrest to the right position.
Then re-tighten the screws.

4.13. Adjustable backrest (optional)

Flip the cover up.
Adjust the length of the straps, in order to adjust the backrest slack.

4.14. One-hand operation (optional)

With one-hand operation you have both handrims on one wheel, so
that you can operate both drive wheels with one hand.
The option can be fitted either left or right.

4.15. Reflectors

As standard your wheelchair is fitted with reflectors on the back and
spokes. These must not be covered.
