Possible cause
Coffee grinds too coarse.
Not enough coffee in the filter
basket.
Grinds not tamped (compacted)
enough.
Using stale or old coffee.
Using pre-ground coffee.
There's a fault or crack in the
filter basket.
What to do
Change to a finer grind. If using a coffee
grinder, check calibration of grinder.
Dose more coffee grinds.
Tamp more firmly.
Use freshly roasted coffee, between
5 – 20 days after roasting.
Use the dual wall filter baskets provided.
Try a different filter basket.
