Problem
When paint is sprayed, coverage
is inadequate.
Fan pattern varies dramatically
while spraying.
Cannot trigger spray gun.
Paint is coming out of pressure
control.
Paint is leaking through drain
tube.
Paint leaks down outside of
pump.
Motor is hot and runs
intermittently. Motor
automatically shuts off due to
excessive heat. Damage can
occur if cause is not corrected.
Sprayer makes no sound when
pressure control is ON and
ON/OFF switch is ON (illumi-
nated).
ON/OFF switch does not illumi-
nate when pressed.
ON/OFF switch is constantly illu-
minated (does not turn off).

Cause
Material is going on too thin.
Pressure control switch is worn
and causing excessive pressure
variation.
Spray gun trigger lock is
engaged.
Pressure control is worn.
Sprayer is over pressurizing.
Pump packings are worn.
Vent holes in enclosure are
plugged or sprayer is covered.
Battery has insufficient charge.
Motor needs to be replaced.
ON/OFF switch light blinks two
times when pressure control is
ON. Indicates incorrect voltage.
ON/OFF switch light blinks three
times when pressure control is
ON. Indicates battery
temperature is too hot or too
cold.
ON/OFF switch light blinks four
times when pressure control is
ON. Indicates locked rotor
condition.
ON/OFF switch light blinks five
times when pressure control is
ON. Indicates motor temperature
is too hot.
Indicates battery is not installed,
has insufficient charge, or is
damaged.
Control board is damaged.
Power switch is damaged.
Control board is damaged.
Troubleshooting
Solution
Move gun slower.
Choose spray tip with larger hole
size.
Choose spray tip with narrower
fan.
Make sure gun is close enough
to surface.
Take sprayer to Graco
authorized service center.
Rotate trigger lock to disengage
trigger lock. See page 9.
Take sprayer to Graco
authorized service center.
Take sprayer to Graco
authorized service center.
Replace pump packings with
new ProXChange module. See
page 35.
Keep vent holes clear of
obstructions and overspray and
keep sprayer open to air.
Charge battery.
Take sprayer to Graco
authorized retailer, distributor, or
service center.
Replace battery with charged
battery.
Battery has reached end of life.
Replace battery.
Motor damaged, replace motor
assembly.
Allow battery to cool down or
warm up to room temperature.
Replace pump and/or motor
assembly.
Allow motor to cool down to room
temperature.
Install battery correctly, ensure
battery is fully charged, or
replace battery.
Replace control board.
Replace power switch.
Replace control board.
