Repeat preceding charging procedure every 30–45 days, as long as the battery is in storage, for best possible maintenance
during inactive periods to ensure a good serviceable battery in spring. When ready to place the battery back in service, remove
excess grease from the terminals (a small amount is desirable on terminals at all times), recharge again, as necessary, and
reinstall the battery.

Flywheel Removal and Installation

Removal

Performing service or maintenance without first disconnecting the battery can cause product damage, personal injury, or death
due to fire, explosion, electrical shock, or unexpected engine starting. Always disconnect the battery cables from the battery
before maintaining, servicing, installing, or removing engine or drive components.
1.
Disconnect both of the battery cables from the batteries.
2.
Remove the flywheel cover from the engine.
3.
Remove the alternator belt.
4.
Disconnect the spark plug leads from the spark plugs.
5.
Hold the flywheel with the flywheel holder and remove the flywheel nut and washer.

Install a crankshaft protector cap on the end of the crankshaft and install the flywheel puller.
7.
Hold the flywheel puller with a wrench and tighten the bolt until the flywheel is loose.
