Flash Code #2 - Left Motor Disconnected
Symptoms:
All battery condition meter LEDs flash twice, then pause.
This sequence is repeated until the fault is cleared.
Diagnosis:
There is a bad connection between the left motor (5) and the
power module (2).
Solution:
Use the following procedure to find the source of the flash code:
1. Remove the seat, main shroud, and front shroud. Refer
to the power chair owner's manual.
2. Unplug connector 5a from connector 2d. See diagram 3.
3. Measure resistance across pin 3 and pin 4 on connector
5a. See figure 10.
— If the multimeter indicates about 0.5 ohms - 1.5 ohms,
then replace the power module (2) and retest the system.
— If the multimeter indicates an open, then replace the left
motor (5) and retest the system.
Flash Code #3 - Left Motor Wiring Fault
Symptoms:
All battery condition meter LEDs flash three times, then pause. This sequence is repeated until the fault is cleared.
Diagnosis:
There is a bad connection between the left motor (5) and the brake.
Solution:
Use the following procedure to find the source of the flash code:
1. Remove the seat, main shroud, and front shroud. Refer to the power chair owner's manual.
2. Unplug connector 5a from connector 2d. See diagram 3.
3. Measure resistance across pin 2 and pin 4 on connector 5a. See figure 11.
— If the multimeter indicates less than 1 ohm, then replace the left motor (5) and retest the system.
— If the multimeter indicates an open, then replace the power module (2) and retest the system.
