Installing the keyboard

Important
The keyboard cable is correctly oriented if
it is not twisted.
Lift the brown keyboard connector clip and remove the keyboard cable.

Be careful not to touch or damage any other components.

Lift the old keyboard away from the notebook. The keyboard is now

completely detached from the notebook.
To install the keyboard:
Place the new keyboard keys-down on your notebook with the space bar

away from you.
Make sure that the brown keyboard connector clip is raised, insert the

cable into the connector, then slide the clip down to lock the connector
in place.
Rotate the keyboard toward the LCD panel until the keyboard is

almost face-up.
