Check to confirm that "CHE"
is displayed and that the
READY lamp is illuminated.

Open the checker cover.

Place the measuring probe
perpendicular to the check-
er, and push it gently until a
click is heard.
◆ If the measuring probe is contacted
aslant with the checker, place it per-
pendicularly and take measurement
again.

Confirm the measured val-
ue.
◆ The display will interchange between
the L value (measured value of the
long optical path) and the S value
(measured value of the short optical
path). "●" appears in the upper left
corner of the display while the L value
is displayed.
