8. Remove the key.
9. Clean the crankshaft and the center hole in the
flywheel before you install the flywheel.
10. Install in the opposite sequence.
CAUTION: Make sure that you install the
correct nut. The flywheel nut is different
from the nut on the fan side. The nut on the
fan side has a mark with the figure 8 on the
flange. The flywheel nut does not have this
mark.

7.10 Cylinder and piston

7.10.1 To remove and install the cylinder and
piston
1. Remove the spark plug cap and the cylinder cover.

2. Remove the starter unit. Refer to

3. Remove the muffler. Refer to

4. Remove the carburetor, the distance piece and the
heat shield. Refer to

5. Remove the frame. Refer to

6. Remove the fan. Refer to

7. Remove the engine. Refer to

8. Remove the 2 screws and the heat shield.
9. Remove the 4 screws.
10. Move the cylinder rearward and forward and lift the
cylinder.
11. Remove the cylinder gasket. Make sure that no dirt
goes in the crankcase.
12. Put a cover in the crankcase opening.
13. Remove the snap ring.
