Replacing the IS911 Module
The IS911 module can be replaced while the system is energized or not
energized.
2.3.1
Remove
To remove the IS911 module while the system is energized (during
transmission), follow the steps below.
(1) First, turn on the fourth switch of MODE switch. (Transmission stops.)
(2) Check that the TX / RX LED is completely turned off. Once confirmed, move
on to the next step.
(3) Set the maintenance switch to the upper position (MAINT).
(4) Disconnect the transmission cable (RS-485 / RS-422 cable, RS-232C
cable) from the IS911 module.
(5) Loosen the fixing screw at the top of the IS911 module, then rotate the
IS911 module downward and pull it out.
2.3.2
Installation
To install (replace) the IS911 module, follow the steps below.
(1) First, make sure that the IS911 module to be replaced is the same type.
(2) Set the rotary switch to the same setting as the module before replacement.
(3) Set the maintenance switch to the upper side (MAINT) and set all MODE
switches to OFF.
(4) Install the IS911 module according to the procedure described in "4 Install
the IS911 module to each of the base units." in the previous section.
If the IS911 module does not start even when the maintenance switch is down
(RUN), switch the switch from the upper side (MAINT) to the lower side (RUN)
again.

Before touching the module or inserting or
removing the transmission cable, wear a
wrist strap and white cotton gloves.
Ground the wrist strap to remove static
electricity.
Otherwise, it may cause damage or failure of the
module.
When placing the module during
replacement, use a conductive mat.
