Connections between the transmitter and receiver

When the CONNECTIONS page is called up, the VIP XD automatically scans
the network for available transmitters. As soon as a transmitter is found in the
network, the VIP XD displays a JPEG snapshot from that transmitter. All
transmitters found are listed in the Video sources list field.
Note
The transmitter and receiver must be located in the same subnet to
establish a hardware connection (see pages 39 and 56).
Establishing the connection
Note
If the connection is not established, the maximum number of possible
connections may already have been reached. The maximum number of
connections depends on the device and network configuration.
– Choose the desired transmitter from the Video sources list field. A JPEG
snapshot from the selected video source will appear in the Preview area.
– Enable the Include data checkbox if you also want to transmit transparent
data. Ensure that the transmitter and receiver are correctly configured for
data transmission.
Note
The checkbox must be enabled before establishing the connection for data
transmission to be activated.
– Click in the checkbox again to deactivate the data connection.
– Click Connect MPEG-4 to begin displaying the video images on the
connected monitor. In the Monitor area, you will see a snapshot of the
connected video source.
– If the transmitter is a multi-channel unit, for example a VideoJet 8008, you
can set the Video input for playback.
– Change from Single view to Quad view by activating the respective radio
button.
– If you want to set up more than one connection simultaneously choose a
different decoder stream for each connection in Decoder.
