LED indicators
The HMI includes three protection LED indicators. The basic functionality of the
LED indicators is described below. In addition, there are function block -specific
LED indicator operations that are described in more detail in the function block
manuals (refer to the CD-ROM Technical Descriptions of Functions, 1MRS750889-
MCD).
LED indicators can be latching or non-latching:
• Non-latching type of LED indicator goes automatically out when the fault
disappears (the protection stage resets)
• Latching type of LED indicator remains lit, although the fault disappears, until
cleared by pressing [C] for two seconds
Green LED indicator
Three different functions are embedded in the Ready LED indicator.
Table 6.5.1-1
Green LED indicator functions
Steady LED: READY
Flashing LED: IRF
Non-active LED: OFF
Normal operation
• No internal faults
• Auxiliary voltage is available
An internal relay fault (IRF) has occurred but the
auxiliary voltage is connected
• When an internal fault occurs, a message is
received in the assisting window, provided the
HMI/MIMIC panel is operative
• The IRF LED indicator is latching
OR
The terminal is in test mode
The auxiliary voltage supply to the terminal has
been disconnected.
Check that the auxiliary voltage is
!
