Using your notebook

If you press the power button for more than four seconds, the computer will switch off automatically.
When the computer is in Standby mode, you cannot insert a disk.
Standby requires less time than Hibernate.
Standby uses more power than Hibernate.
If you do not work with your computer on AC power for 30 minutes, it will enter System Standby mode.
As a result, if you are using the CD-RW/DVD-ROM combi drive or DVD-ROM drive, the operation will be
interrupted.
To avoid this, proceed as follows:

Right-click the PowerPanel icon in the taskbar.

Right-click Edit/Create Profiles.

In the left panel, select AC Power.

In the right panel, right-click Standby timer - 30 min (this is the default time) and select Off.

When you close the window, the Profile Editor message box appears asking if you want to save the new
settings.

Click Yes.

Using Hibernate mode

The state of the system is saved on the hard disk and power is turned off. The power indicator light is off in
this mode.
To activate Hibernate mode, proceed as follows:
Press <Fn>+<F12>.
The Save to Disk Manager screen appears and the notebooks enters Hibernate mode.
