Indicator lamp ; lights up briefly.
Lock the vehicle with the key.

Tow-away protection is deactivated.
Tow-away protection remains deactivated
until the vehicle is unlocked and locked
again.
Interior motion sensor
If the interior motion sensor is primed, a vis-
ual and audible alarm is triggered if move-
ment is detected in the vehicle interior. This
occurs, for example, if someone breaks the
side windows of your vehicle or reaches into
the vehicle's interior.
To prime the interior motion sensor:

make sure that:
the side windows are closed.

the soft top is closed.
R
no objects, such as mascots, are
R
attached to the rear-view mirror.
This will prevent false alarms.
Make sure that the boot lid is closed.

Only then can the interior motion sensor be
primed.
Lock the vehicle with the key.

The interior motion sensor is primed after
approximately 30 seconds.

Do not place any objects on the armrest
in the centre console. Otherwise, the oper-
ation of the interior motion sensor is
restricted.
Do not leave metallic objects that can come
into contact with each other, e.g. keyrings,
in or next to the armrest. These could oth-
erwise trigger false alarms.
To switch off the interior motion sen-
X
sor: unlock the vehicle using the key.
The interior motion sensor is switched off
automatically.
To prevent a false alarm, deactivate the inte-
rior motion sensor if you lock your vehicle
and:
people or animals remain in the vehicle.

the side windows remain open.
R
To deactivate the interior motion sen-
X
sor: while the engine is running, set key
position 0 with the Start/Stop button.
or
Remove the key from the ignition lock.

The interior motion sensor remains deacti-
vated until the vehicle is unlocked and
locked again.
