Remove the dust protection cap from filler

Screw the end of filler hose D onto the tyre

valve.
Make sure that on/off switch ; on the tyre

inflation compressor is set to 0.
Insert connector ? into the 12 V cigarette

lighter socket (
Select key position 2 with the Start/Stop

Press on/off switch ; on the tyre inflation

compressor to I.
The tyre inflation compressor is switched
on. The tyre is inflated.
When the specified tyre pressure (see

been reached, press on/off switch ; on
the tyre inflation compressor to 0.
The tyre inflation compressor is switched
off.
! Do not operate the tyre inflation com-
pressor for longer than ten minutes at a
time without a break. It may otherwise
overheat.
The tyre inflation compressor can be oper-
ated again once it has cooled down.
If the tyre pressure is higher than the value
specified:
Open pressure release screw C until the

tyre pressure is correct.
Remove filler hose D from the tyre valve.

Stow the tyre inflation compressor in a safe
X
and accessible place in the vehicle.
Lowering the vehicle

WARNING
Inflate the collapsible emergency spare wheel
before lowering the vehicle. You could other-
wise damage the wheel rim.

Turn the crank of the jack anti-clockwise

until the vehicle is once again standing
firmly on the ground.
Place the jack to one side.

Tighten the wheel bolts evenly in a cross-
X
wise pattern in the sequence indicated
(: to A ). The tightening torque must be
130 Nm.

WARNING
Have the tightening torque checked immedi-
ately after a wheel is changed. The wheels
could work loose if they are not tightened to
a torque of 130 Nm.
Turn the jack back to the out-of-use posi-
X
tion and stow it in the boot again with the
rest of the wheel-changing tools.

lapsible emergency spare wheel, see

When you are driving with the emergency
spare wheel fitted, the tyre pressure mon-
itor cannot function reliably. Only restart
the tyre pressure monitor when the defec-
tive wheel has been replaced with a new
wheel.
All fitted wheels must be equipped with
functioning sensors and the defective
wheel should no longer be in the vehicle.
