Settings by Using the Buttons
(Setup Function)
With the S-BUS system, the necessary items are
normally set on the control terminal connected to the
primary station. However the following items can be
set on the BKS-R3210 by turning the power on while
holding down the two or three select buttons, as
described below.

Initializing the settings
While holding down buttons 1 and 2, turn the power
on.
The following items are set to the factory-set
conditions.
1) Type-number selection
2) Status display mode
3) Single-use mode
4) Single-level mode
5) Phantom partial-protect mode
Note
Press buttons until the lamp check on the panel
finishes.
Setting multi level mode
While holding down buttons 1 and 6, turn the power
on.
The level select buttons work in multi level mode,
which allows selection of multiple levels in a break-
away operation.
Setting single-level mode
While holding down buttons 1 and 7, turn the power
on.
The level select buttons work in single-level mode,
which allows individual selection of single level in a
breakaway operation.
Setting single-use mode
While holding down buttons 5 and 8, turn the power
on.
Use this mode when this unit is to be used alone.

Setting type-number selection
While holding down buttons 6, 7 and 8, turn the power
on.
When type-number selection is set, the following type
numbers and numerical values are assigned to the
select buttons.
Type 0
Type 1
Type 2
Type 3

Type number and numerical values
The type names should have been assigned to buttons
Type 0 through Type F on the control terminal. For
example, if a source type is assigned as "0=VTR" on
the control terminal, the type name of button Type 0 is
VTR.
To select a source using the type-number selection
method, press one of buttons designated Type 0
through Type F to select the type name, then designate
the number using buttons 1 through 0, and press the
TAKE button.
Setting direct selection
While holding down buttons 7 and 8, turn the power
on.
When you press a select button, the source or
destination assigned to the pressed button is selected.
Setting prompt lamp-light mode
While holding down buttons 1 and 3, turn the power
on.
When you press a source select button, the lamp of the
pressed button promptly lights.
Setting status display mode
While holding down buttons 1, 2 and 3, turn the power
on.
Whey you press a source select button, the system
checks that the designated crosspoint has been
switched, then the lamp lights according to the
crosspoint status.
