This mode offers the creative freedom of a complete range of manual controls. In
Manual mode, you have the option to set the exposure at any combination of
shutter speed and aperture levels.
Auto
Like the Easy Recording mode, the camcorder automatically controls camera
adjustments allowing you to simply point and film. However, in Auto mode you
have the option of adjusting the settings manually.
Shutter-Priority (
Use this mode to select the shutter speed. The camcorder automatically sets the
appropriate aperture value.
Aperture-Priority (
Use this mode to select the aperture value from F/1.6 to F/9.5 (or full iris close) and
let the camcorder automatically set the appropriate shutter speed. This mode
allows for the best control of depth of field.
Spotlight
The Spotlight mode automatically adjusts the exposure to effectively record
images and/or subjects lit by a spotlight or other concentrated light source.
Night
This mode allows you to continue recording even when light levels begin to fall.
p
The camcorder uses slower shutter speeds (60i, 30F: 1/4–1/500; 24F: 1/3–1/500)
to deliver proper exposure.
Moving subjects may leave a trailing afterimage.
Picture quality may not be as good as in other modes.
White points may appear on the screen.
Autofocus may not work as well as in other modes. In such case, adjust the focus manually.
