This unit is equipped with a rear burner manual slide
adjustable air shutter for natural gas. Locate the slide
adjustment lever on the front lower left portion of the log
support bracket, just below the horizontal grate bar. The
slide adjustable air shutter has a range of 1". Figure 34
•
To increase air mixture, open the slide adjustment by
gently pulling on the lever. When lever stops it has
reached its maximum adjustment. This will reduce soot
formation.

To decrease air mixture, close the slide adjustment by
gently pushing on the lever. When lever stops, it has
reached its minimum adjustment. Flames will be more
yellow.
NOTe: There is no rear burner slide adjustable air shutter
for propane units.
