Authentication Card, part no: LNL-C5000-AC
In order to set the reader in programming mode, present the valid "Authentication Card"
to the reader as shown. The reader will beep and start blinking to indicate that it is now
in programming mode. The reader will blink yellow if it is version LNL-50xxx-01Txx or
LNL-50xxx-04Txx. If the reader is version LNL-50xxx-08Txx it will blink yellow/green.
The Reader is in programming mode for 10 seconds. If no other programming card
(valid Authentication Card, CHANGE Authentication Card, Configuration Card or OSDP
Installation Mode Card) is presented within this time, the reader will return to normal
mode. When a reader leaves programming mode it is indi cated by a blinking red LED
and a beep.
Note: Authentication Cards can be programmed to a pre-initialized Authentication Card
using the Authentication Card Tool Software and a LenelS2 Readers - 5000 series
Reader connected to the Authentication Card Tool Software using a RS485 to USB
converter.

• Reader tool software and connection cable set, part no. LNL-R50000-TOOL,
LNL-R50000-TOOL-UK or LNL-R50000-TOOL-US
• Pre-initialized Authentication Card, part no. LNL-C5000-PAC
