USB Interfaces: XUSB1/2 and XUSB3/4
The USB connections on the VDP 92.3 only support the USB1.1, since the data
is transferred to the control cabinet PC using the XSER interface. The connec‐
tions XUSB1 to XUSB6 on the control cabinet PC support the USB2.0. If an
USB2.0 is also required on the VDP 92.3, it can be implemented by connecting
the XUSBIN connection to the VDP 92.3 with one USB connection (XUSB1 up
to XUSB6) of the control cabinet PC using an USB cable, (refer to
"Voltage supply and optional USB2.0 port" on page
ordered as accessory (refer to
The maximum USB cable length of 5 m must not be exceeded for
the USB2.0 cable!

It is only possible to connect USB devices fulfilling the USB speci‐
fication. The USB devices that e. g., do not have the specified
reaction times are also commercially available.
Thus, the general function of such non-specification-compliant USB
devices can not be guaranteed, even if they are working e. g. at the
USB interface directly at the control cabinet PC.
The CDI interface is assigned to the two RJ45 female connectors XSER and
XVID. The connection between the control cabinet PC and the operator display
is established on these female connectors via two ready-made cables available
as accessory (refer to
The data interface (XSER) and the screen interface (XVID) are included in the
CDI interface.
It is dangerous to plug and remove CDI cables when voltage is ap‐
plied
The functional earth ground (FE) is always to be used.
