4. MAINTENANCE AND TROUBLESHOOTING

4.1 Periodic Cleaning

A dirty pri nt head or platen may redu ce printing quality or cause malfunctions.
We recomm end cleaning the pri nter periodically (every 2 to 3 months) as shown
belo w.
1. Turn off the power.
2. Pull the cover open lever forward and open the pap er cover.
3. Wait a few minutes until the print head cools.
4. Use a cotton swab dampen ed with ethyl alcoh ol to wipe off any dirt and dust that is
on the print head and platen.
CAUTION
The print head is hot immed iately after prin ting. Do not touch it.
Do not touch the print head with bare hands or metal objects.
