3.2 Connecting Interface Cables

1. Turn off the power.
2. Orient the interface cable correctly and insert it into the interfac e connector.
Serial interface
CAUTION
When disconnecting the cable, always hold the connector.
Be careful not to inser t the USB interface cable into the cash drawer kick-out
connector.
To connect mo re than one prin ter to a single compu ter via a USB interface you must
change the serial numbe r of the USB interface.
Use a serial interface cable with the connection layout shown below.
CAUTION
Place the interface cable so peop le do not trip on it.
