INSTALL BATH
A. BATH SET-IN
Slide the new bath into position. Insert the drain tailpiece
into the trap. Level the bath by placing metal shims under
the bath feet, as necessary. The bath must be level and
resting on all four feet. Check for level along the top and
end of the bath, and across the drain side. The bath may
have to be moved in and out of the recess area until it is
shimmed properly if the feet are not accessible from the
back or side.
B. INSTALL PLUMBING
1.
When the bath is securely positioned, connect the
drain into the trap. The drain tailpiece may have to
be removed and cut to fit the trap properly.
2.
Install the faucet valving and spout tee. If the
faucets are deck-mounted, the deck must be
finished before the handle trim and spout can be
installed. Open the hot and cold water supplies and
check all connections for leaks.
3.
Run water in the bath and check the drain
connection for leaks.
