Checking the DHW cylinder
■ Are the safety valves installed?
■ Has the hot water drain been installed
so that any discharged hot water can-
not represent a risk to individuals or
damage the system and materials in or
on the building?
Checking the electrical connections
■ Check the firm seating of the plug-in
connections and cable grommets;
check cables for damage.
■ Check the plug with integral residual
current device (see page 36).
Filling the DHW cylinder
1. Fill the DHW cylinder from the DHW
side.
Open the DHW draw-off point and
leave it on (under supervision) until
only water is flowing out of it.
2. Check the fittings on the DHW side
for tightness and retighten if
required.

Please note
Filling and commissioning the
solar thermal system without first
safeguarding the heat transfer
results in thermal stress.
Cover the collectors and keep
them covered until the heat trans-
fer has been regulated.
