3 .7 .1
Qu ick Ca libr a t ion
The Quick Calibrat ion can be perform ed using t he DMXConfig Ut ilit y ( see Sect ion 3.5) or by holding down t he
m ult i- funct ion but t on, ( see sect ion 3.3) . Once you have inst alled t he DMXConfig ut ilit y and t he print er is
properly loaded wit h m edia, proceed wit h calibrat ion as follows:
This calibrat ion is not necessary when using cont inuous st ock.
Media cont aining large gaps m ay require a change in t he Paper Out Dist ance before proceeding.
1) Connect t he host t o t he print er wit h a serial,
parallel, or ( USB cable if driver is inst alled) .
2) Turn ON t he print er and launch t he
DMXConfig ut ilit y.
3) Click on t he port or t he print er you wish t o
connect t o from t he list .
4) Query t he print er by using t he Query Print er
t oolbar but t on ( t op- left ) or t he large 'Query'
but t on in t he green box. This will connect t o
t he print er and get t he current print er
set t ings.
5) Select t he Sensor Calibrat ion Tab and t hen
click t he Quick Media Calibrat ion but t on.
When prom pt ed click OK t o st art t he Quick
Calibrat ion.
6) Wait for t he print er t o process t he dat a. There
are t wo possible out com es:
Green Light = Successful calibrat ion
Red Light = Unsuccessful calibrat ion, t ry
again. I f t he calibrat ion cont inues t o fail,
proceed t o Sect ion 3.7.2.
