Power on/off procedures

These procedures explain how to switch the ME70 system on and off.

Powering up the ME70

Purpose
This procedure explains how to power up the Simrad ME70 system.
Note
If the ambient temperature in the sonar room is low, the system may need time to warm
up. If this is the case, leave the system idle for approximately 30 minutes, then do the
Restart procedure.
Prerequisites
a The ME70 Transceiver Unit is connected to the ship's mains and set up for
operational use.
b All the circuit breakers in the Transceiver Unit are engaged.
c The air conditioning system in the sonar room is operational.
Procedure
Power up the colour display.

If required, refer to the instructions provided by the display manufacturer.
2 Power up the Processor Unit (computer).
Wait for the operating system to start up.
Double-click the ME70 icon on the desktop to start the program.

4 Wait while the program starts on the computer.
5 Open the menu in the ME70 application, and click the
