Knotting the threads

For cover stitches and top cover stitches
If the threads are shown on the right side of the fabric,
draw them to the wrong side of the fabric by using a pair
of tweezers and knot them together.
For chain stitches
Draw the threads to the wrong side of the fabric by using
a pair of tweezers and knot them together.

Curling problem

NOTE:
• Raise the needle to the highest position by turning
the handwheel toward you to match the mark on the
machine with the setting mark on the handwheel.
• Raise the presser foot lifter.
When the curling problem occurs, adjust the following
steps;
• Turn the fine mode switching lever to "FINE" (refer to
page 9).
q Fine mode switching lever
• Turn the looper thread tension dial to a lower numbers
(refer to pages 32 - 33).
• Use thinner thread (refer to page 26).

Skipped stitch

When the skipped stitch occurs, adjust the following
steps;
• Turn the fine mode switching lever to "STD" or "FINE"
(refer to page 9).
• Turn the stitch length dial to adjust the stitch length to a
higher length (refer to page 8).
• Adjust the thread tension dials (refer to pages 26 - 33).
NOTE:
Check every threads are correctly theaded (refer to
pages 13 - 25).
