t Off position
The flow of outside air is shut off; how-
ever, a small amount of air is directed
toward the face.
t A/C position*
Select A/C to get refrigerated outside air
through the instrument panel registers.
This position is used for cooling except
when it is extremely hot or fast cooling
of the vehicle is needed. In this case,
select MAX A/C for fast cooling and
return to A/C when you are comfortable.
t MAX A/C position*
The MAX A/C position produces cool
air more rapidly to provide faster cooling
of your vehicle. Select MAX A/C to get
recirculated refrigerated air through the
instrument panel registers.

Fog Build-Up on Interior Glass:
Operating with the function selec-
tor in Off or MAX A/C for extended
periods of time in cold weather can
result in fog build-up on interior
glass surfaces. This fogging can
make it difficult to see the road for
safe driving. To help prevent fog-
ging, simply draw in outside air
by placing the function selector
control knob in
