THE CHAIN RING
1. Lower the chain ring over the motor.
2. Align the six attachment tab holes over
the corresponding bolts and press down.
3. Fit on on by hand, all the 6 nyloc nuts.
4. Tighten the chain ring nyloc nuts:
(a) Use the tool kit 17mm chain ring
socket through the socket hole.
• Rotate the motor plate to reach all
the chain ring nuts.
COVER AND PLATES
5. Put on the cover / shroud.
• Take care of the cable and rotate the
motor so the cover fit over the electric
box.
6. Fit on the cover plate and its two bolts
with washers.
• Tighten the two bolts with an 18mm
spanner.
7. Fit on the gear box mounting plate, in-
sert and tighten the following bolts:
(b) 4×18mm bolts with washers (on
either side of the lifting lugs).
(c) 1 counter sunk 8mm Allen screw.
MOUNT THE MOTOR SPROCKET
The gear assembly should be checked – see
previous chapter!
8. It is important that the sprocket fits
cleanly into the chain ring, without the
presence of any debris.
9. Lift the planetary assembly, with sprock-
et loose on the shaft.
10. Tilt into place allowing the sprocket to
meet with the chain ring as it stands up
into position.
11. Hold the planetary drive into the chain
ring and rotate the cover until you have
access to the sprocket fastening screws.
• Tighten the top screw with a 4mm Al-
len key, fixing the sprocket firmly on
the gear box shaft.
• Remove the whole planetary assembly
and add thread-lock compound to the
bottom screw. Once tight, release the
top screw and repeat the process so
both screws are tight with a thread-
lock compound.
• Refit the whole assembly into place as
in 9, but now with a positioned and
fixed sprocket.
12. Fit in the 4 planetary motor plate bolts
with spring washers by hand. Do not
tighten.
