8 Removing belt parts and satellite motor

REMOVE THE MOTOR MOUNTING PLATE
1. Tilt the cradle 180° (the opening upwards) and secure it with a corner pin.
• Remove the cir-clip that holds the motor mounting plate shaft (a).
• Place a board under the cradle to catch the motor mounting plate (3a).
2. Use a sledge hammer and the following
tools to knock out the motor mounting
plate:

(c) Press tool 11
3. Motor mounting plate (a) will fall down
on the board placed underneath.
4. Tilt the cradle 180° (the opening down-
wards) and secure it with a corner pin.
• Remove the idle pulley shaft bolt.
5. Catch and remove the idle pulley from
beneath the cradle.
6. Knock off the silicone glued washer
with a slotted screwdriver.
7. Undo the six bolts in the main bearing
assembly (d).
8. Use a soft mallet to remove the main
bearing assembly (d).
9. Tilt the cradle 180° (the opening up-
wards) and secure it with a corner pin.
• Clean the interior well with a solvent
and compressed air.
• Overview of the stripped belt compart-
ment with:
(e) Top bearing housing (cast).
