Install new blade through both blade guide
bearings, as shown in Figure 47, and around
bottom wheel.

Hold blade around bottom wheel with one
hand and slip it around top wheel with other
hand, keeping blade between blade guide
bearings.
Note: It is sometimes possible to flip blade
inside out, in which case blade will be installed
in wrong direction. Check to make sure blade
teeth are facing toward workpiece, as shown
in Figure 48, after mounting to bandsaw.
Some blades will have a directional arrow to
use as a guide.

When blade is around both wheels, adjust
position so back of blade is against wheel
shoulder (see Figure 49).

10. While holding blade in place, tighten blade
tension knob so blade will not slip on wheels
upon start up.
11. While keeping body parts away from blade
and machine, connect machine to power.
12. Turn blade speed dial to slowest speed and
briefly turn machine ON then OFF to position
blade and resume previous tracking.
