Preparations
The MVC knob
can
be used to shuttle the tape from
the STOP mode
.
When the machine is in the STOP
mode
,
touch the
MVC
knob
.
The
green MVC LED
will
illuminate to indicate that the
MVC
mode is selected
.
Move the knob to the
right and
the transport will wind
a a
forward direction
,
that is
,
the tape will be wound
from the supply reel to the take - up reel
.
The more to
the right the MVC control is pushed
,
the faster the
wind speed will be
. Now move
the
MVC
knob to the
left
.
The tape will wind in the rewind direction with
the tape from the take - up reel emptying
onto the
supply reel
.
When the MVC mode is used
,
the audio
channels will not be dimmed allowing the audio signal
from the tape to be audible through the monitor
.
o
STEP 1 Connect the
appropriate audio line
source
to the IN connectors of the
APR
-
5000
.
STEP 2 Turn the power switch to the ON position
and ensure that there is no
error
indicated
in the Status Display
.
If an
error
is indicated
see
Appendix
A and correct the error
,
then
continue
.
STEP 3 Set the desired channels to RECORD
READY
by pressing the appropriate
Record
buttons
.
