Pass or Block- Select
Pass or Block to
perform this action on
packets as defined
below.
Direction- Select In or
Out to pass or block
packets coming in or
going out of the
network.
Protocol-Select IGMP, TCP, UDP or All to pass or block packets of that
protocol type.
Source- Type in the source IP Address and select the Subnet Mask to pass
or block packets from that IP Address.
Destination- Type in the destination IP Address and select the Subnet Mask
to pass or block packets destined to that IP Address.
Port Filter Rule- UDP and TCP packets only. Select a range of ports to
pass or block. Use the following guide to define the port or port range (Start
Port and End Port):
< : specifies the port numbers less than and equal to the Start Port
number
> : specifies the port numbers greater than and equal to the Start Port
number
= : sets the port number equal to the Start Port if there is no End Port
specified; if an End Port number is specified, this defines a range of
ports to filter. The range is defined as the port numbers between the Start
Port and End Port, including the Start and End Port numbers.
: the port number does not equal the Start Port if there is no End Port
specified; if an End Port number is specified, this defines a range of
ports not to filter. The range is defined as the port numbers between
the Start Port and End Port, including the Start and End Port numbers.
