The feed roller
moves paper to the
separation pad and
separation roller.
The separation roller
turns to feed paper to
the separation roller.
The separation pad
strips off the top
sheet.
The trailing edge
actuator is for
misfeed detection.
This is a typical friction pad feed system. (In this machine the friction pad is
