WLAN - Step 2/7

Connect the connectivity module to the WLAN network.
Supported WLAN networks
The current version of the SIMOTICS CONNECT 400 connectivity module does not support proxy
server configuration.
The connectivity module encrypts your data according to security standard WPA2. For data
transfer, the connectivity module supports WLAN connections with a frequency of 2.4 GHz and
the Wi-Fi standard 802.11b/g/n. WLAN authentication protocols according to IEEE 802.1X are
not supported.
Procedure
1. The country code is determined automatically. Check that it is correct and modify the country
code, if necessary.
2. With the "Select other network" button, you can display the visible WLAN networks.
3. Select the required WLAN network from the list of visible networks.
4. Enter the WLAN password. The WLAN password must not exceed a maximum length of 32
characters.
