Safety notes and conditions

Safety notes
To ensure safe operation of this device, it must be properly installed and commissioned by
qualified personnel in adherence to the warning information. This includes both the general
safety regulations for working on high voltage systems (e.g. DIN VDE) and the regulations
relating to proper use of tools and the use of personal protective equipment (goggles,
protective gloves etc.).
Caution - the current is to be shut off before opening the device. Non-compliance can result
in death, severe physical injury and/or significant damage.
Note
All connecting leads inside the device should be kept short.
To ensure the degree of protection according to IP65 for the device, only the permissible
cable diameters may be used.
Electrical connection in hazardous zones with explosive atmospheres
Connection and commissioning in hazardous areas may be carried out only by specially
qualified personnel.
The national directives and laws for areas subject to explosion valid in your country must be
observed for electrical connection. Examples of these as found in Germany:
• Working reliability regulation
• Directive on the installation of electrical systems in hazardous areas DIN EN 60079-14
If auxiliary power is required, check that it corresponds with that on the nameplate and with
the test certification valid for your country.
