particular flavor to food.

Care and Maintenance

Grill Maintenance
Frequency of cleaning is determined by how often the grill is used. Make sure coals are completely
extinguished and the grates are cooled down before cleaning inside of the grill. Use a cleaning pad to
remove any stains on the lid and front panel caused by fumigation while grilling. Wipe out the interior of
the grill with a cloth or paper towel. Clean the grates with warm water and pat dry. The coating is fragile.
Do not knock, hit or drop the grates.
Rust may appear on the inside of your grill. Maintaining a light coating of vegetable oil on interior
surfaces will aid in the protection of your grill. Exterior surfaces of the grill may need occasional touch up.
We recommend the use of commercially available black high temperature spray paint.

Other Care and Maintenance
It is recommended that you always check that the outdoor cooking appliance area is clear and free from
combustible material, gasoline and other flammable vapors and liquids before lighting.
It is recommended that you regularly check that the flow of combustion and ventilation air is not
obstructed.
It is recommended that you regularly check that the dampers move freely and are clear of debris.
All About Lump Charcoal
Lump charcoal is popular with pit masters and
people on the competitive BBQ circuit, and is now
gaining traction among backyard BBQ enthusiasts.
Lump charcoal is an all-natural fuel made by
slowly burning pieces of wood in an airtight area to
remove natural chemicals, sap, and moisture. All
that's left is pure charcoal.
Lump charcoal responds really well to oxygen, so
you can easily control the temperature using your
grill's damper and chimney. Lump charcoal users
swear that it makes food taste better.
Lump Charcoal Fast Facts
• Lights quickly
• Burns hotter than briquettes
• Burns faster than briquettes
• Easier to adjust the temperature
• Lumps may be of irregular size, which can
make grilling a bit difficult.
• Usually more expensive
