Before using the appliance for the first time

Setting the clock

The oven will not function until the clock is set.
The clock must be set before the oven is used and
whenever power has been disconnected to the appli-
ance. If the clock needs to be set, you will see
"00:00:00" flashing in the display.
Use "+" and "-" to set the right time.
After around 3 seconds, the new time will be accepted
and the display will stop blinking.

Initial cleaning

Z
Never use sponges which scratch and scouring
cleaners like scouring powder because they can
damage the surface.
Clean the oven before using it for the first time. The
oven lamp can be switched on while you are doing so.
Turn the control knob to Light
Before heating up your oven for the first time, remove
any adhesive labels and protective foil from the control
panel and the oven door.
Remove the accessories and the grids from the oven
and rinse them. Clean the oven interior, the door and
the control panel with warm water and a little deter-
gent.
Hint: Use a commercially-available cleaning
i
agent for the stainless steel surfaces since this
will serve the dual purpose of forming a protec-
tive coating against fingerprint marks.

First heating up

The oven must be heated up before you use it for the
first time. Please ensure that the room is well-venti-
lated.
Turn the control knob onto top/bottom heat
and set the temperature at 250 °C. Do not put
any food into the oven. Close it and let it oper-
ate at this temperature for approximately
60 minutes.
