The signal cable or power

loose or disconnected.
The signal cable or power

may be defective.
More than one optional
device has the same
interrupt request (IRQ)
setting.
Solution(s)
Initiate Suspend, turn on
external devices with
power switches, then exit
Suspend to integrate the
new device.
Initiate Suspend, plug in
and turn on the external
device with power
switches, then exit
Suspend to integrate the
new device.
Ensure that all cables are
properly and securely
connected.
Ensure that all power
cords are properly and
securely plugged into an
electrical outlet.
Try connecting a different
signal cable and/or power
cord.
Correct the IRQ settings
for optional devices that
are conflicting.
