High forces are released if the tool jams or
catches. Always hold the tool firmly, ensure you
have good footing and concentrate when working.
Secure small workpieces. Clamp in a vice for
example.

6 Commissioning
Before plugging in, check to see that the
rated mains voltage and mains
frequency, as stated on the rating label,
match with your power supply.
To guarantee secure purchase of the
chuck: After initial drilling (clockwise), use a
screwdriver to firmly tighten the safety
screw inside the drill chuck. Caution left-
handed thread! (see Section 7.7)
6.1
Side handle installation
For safety reasons, always use the side
handle supplied.
Open the clamping ring by turning the side handle
(4) counter-clockwise. Place the side handle onto
the machine's collar. Insert the depth stop (3).
Tighten the side handle in the required angle
depending on the task at hand.
7 Use
7.1
Depth stop setting
Loosen the side handle (4). Set depth stop (3) to
the desired drilling depth and retighten the side
handle.

7.2
Switching On and Off
To start the machine, press the trigger switch (7).
The speed can be changed using the trigger
switch.
For continuous operation the trigger switch can be
locked using the lock button (8). To stop the
machine, press the trigger switch again.
In continuous operation, the machine
continues running if it is forced out of
your hands. Therefore, always hold the
machine with both hands using the handles
provided, stand in a safe position and concen-
trate.

Speed preselection
Pre-select the max. speed with the preselection
wheel (6). See page 4 for recommended drilling
speeds.

Changing between twist drilling/impact
drilling
Select desired operating mode by shifting the slide
switch (1) as required.
Twist drilling
Impact drilling
Use high speed for impact drilling.
Impact and twist drilling can be done
only with a clockwise direction of
rotation.
7.5
Selection of direction of rotation
Do not activate the rotation selector
switch (5) unless the motor has
completely stopped.
Select direction of rotation:
R = Clockwise
L = Counter-clockwise
The drill chuck must be firmly screwed
onto the spindle and the safety screw
inside the drill chuck must be firmly
tightened with a screwdriver. (Caution, left-
handed thread!) If rotated counterclockwise
(e.g. when screwing) it could otherwise
become loose.
