Starting route guidance

After you have entered your destination and selected route options, if desired,
you can start route guidance.
Use / on the rocker switch to select the menu item ROUTE GUIDANCE.
Press OK 8 to confirm your selection.
You can also activate the route guidance menu with the hotkey.
The route guidance menu will appear. The route will be calculated. Depending
on how far you are from your destination, this can take several seconds. After
route calculation is complete, you will hear the first spoken driving recommen-
dation.
The top line of the route guidance menu will display the name of the street you
are currently driving on or the name of the next street into which you must turn
off.
If you leave the digitised area, OFF ROAD or OFF MAP will appear in the top
line.
The visual driving recommendations appear in the symbol field in the left-hand
part of the display. You can switch between 2D and 3D to display the driving
recommendations. To switch back and forth between the display modes,
Press OK 8 until the display changes.
In the center you will see a bar graph which indicates the distance to the next
change in direction.
On the right-hand side of the display, you can choose between a display of the
remaining driving time to your destination or the estimated time of arrival. For
more information, refer to the section on "Selecting time info". During route cal-
culation, CALC or RECALC will appear in the time display.
The remaining distance to your destination appears below the time display.
