Safety Warnings Specific for Polishing Operations
1 .
Do not allo w any loose portion of the polishing
bonnet or its attachment strings to spin freely.
Tuck a w ay or trim any loose attachment strings.
L oose an d spinning atta c h ment strings c an entan-
gle your fingers or snag on the workpiece.
Additional Safety W arnings

Do not leave the tool running. Operate the tool
only w hen hand-held.
Check that the w orkpiece is properly supported.

If w orking place is extremely hot and humid, or
badly polluted by conductive dust, use a short-cir-
cuit breaker ( 30 mA ) to assure operator safety.

Do not use the tool on any materials contain-
ing asbestos.

CAUTION:
Al w ays be sure that the tool is
s w itched off and unplugged before adjusting or
checking function on the tool.
Sw itch action
CAUTION:
Before plugging in the tool, al w ays
check to see that the s w itch trigger actuates
properly and returns to the " OFF " position w hen
released.

T o start t h e tool, simpl y pull t h e s w it c h trigger. T h e
rotation spee d w ill in c rease as y ou pull t h e trigger.
R elease t h e s w it c h trigger to stop. F or c ontinuous oper-
ation, pull t h e s w it c h trigger, pus h in t h e lo c k button an d
t h en release t h e s w it c h trigger. T o stop t h e tool f rom t h e
lo c ke d position, pull t h e trigger f ull y , t h en release it.
CAUTION:
S w itch can be locked in " ON " posi-
tion for ease of operator comfort during extended
use. Apply caution w hen locking tool in " ON "
position and maintain firm grasp on tool.
CAUTION:
Do not plug in the tool w ith the
lock-on s w itch engaged. T h e tool w ill be run
unsupported and it may cause a personal injury or
breakage.

NOTICE:
If the tool is operated continuously
at lo w speeds for a long time, the motor w ill get
overloaded, resulting in tool malfunction.
NOTICE:
The speed adjusting dial can be turned
only as far as 5 and back to 1. Do not force it past
5 or 1, or the speed adjusting function may no
longer w ork.
