Installing brake calipers
• Carefully slip left and right
brake calipers 5 over the
brake disks
• Using two screws 4 per cali-
per, secure left and right
brake calipers 5 and tighten
the securing screws to the
specified torque

Tightening torque:
Brake caliper
screws 4 ....................... 30 Nm

Motorcycle with BMW Inte-
gral ABS: Once assembly
work on the brake calipers
has been completed, the
brake lever has to be operat-
ed after the ignition has been
switched on and self-diagno-
sis completed, in order to en-
sure full operability.
Always have the tightening
torques checked by a BMW-
certified workshop, preferably
an authorized BMW motorcycle
retailer.
