Removing brake calipers
When removing, do not dam-
age brake lines, brake disks,
brake pads and the wheel rim
(mask off with tape if neces-
sary).
Do not scratch the rim when
forcing back the brake pads or
removing the calipers (apply
masking tape if necessary).
Do not damage the ABS sensor
cable, the ABS sensor ring and
the ABS sensor.
• Remove two screws 4 for left
and right brake calipers 5
Removing the front wheel
• Push the brake pads back a
little by lightly rocking the
brake calipers
• Carefully lift off left and right
brake calipers 5
In order to avoid damage to the
brake caliper and possible diffi-
culty when assembling: do not
operate the handbrake lever or
footbrake pedal with brake cali-
pers removed.
Check the brake pads (
have them replaced if necessary.
