6. Place the service station back in its dock as shown below.
7. Close the cover on the printer and then tap OK on the touch screen.

Replacing the Service Station

Replace the service station every six months or when the ink well is becoming full of ink.
To check the ink well and replace the service station:
1. On the printer touch screen, tap the Maintenance button.
2. Tap Service Station.
3. The printer moves internal components so that the service station is accessible. When it is
finished moving, open the cover on top of the printer to check the ink well.
4. If you need to replace the service station, lift out the old one taking care not to spill ink from the
well. Insert the new service station as shown above.
5. Close the cover on the printer and then tap OK on the touch screen.

Lubricating

For smooth printer movement, lubricate the rails on which the printer moves every three months. You
may need to lubricate the rails more often with heavy use. Use a dry film PTFE
(polytetrafluoroethylene) lubricant or equivalent.
