    Driver Installation 1. Download and extract the USB drivers for the MX800 series pinpad at:  http://download2.pcamerica.com/drivers/VeriFone_MX800_series_USB_Drivers.zip 2. Run the downloaded drivers. Note, there is nothing to click next to with these drivers simply double-click on the installer and the drivers will be installed automatically.

  • Page 6 Entering the Configuration Menu In order to use the MX800 series via USB the device must be configured correctly through the configuration menu. 1. To check the correct configuration the device must be displaying either screen pictured left, where either the PCA CRE/RPE logos are rotating or on the top of the screen it says FORMAGENT.
  • Page 7 2. Using a narrow tool such as a paperclip press the button in the hole to reset the device, it may take a minute or so. 3. After some time with the device configuring you should see a screen (pictured left) asking for a password.

  • Page 9 1. At the System Mode screen select CONFIGURE. 2. The Configure (1) screen is where you will set how the device integrates with the computer. 3. Select USB PORT. 4. If the device is going to be interfaced via USB set it to Serial Port (COM5).
  • Page 10 6. You will want to check and make sure that the Ethernet configuration is disabled. 7. Select ETHERNET PORT (or NETWORK PORT). 8. Check DISABLE. 9. Select the Left Arrow to go back to the CONFIGURE (1). Select the Left Arrow once again to go back to the System Mode screen.

At the System Mode screen select FILE MANAGER.  If no changes have been made select RUN APPLICATION, which will get you back to the screen where the software can be started and transactions can be made.  If changes have been made you can select RESTART, which will restart the device and will make it where the software can be started and transactions can be made.
